A practice shaped by creativity, structure, and curiosity.
ZAAR Atelier was founded by Zahra Bensaidane, an environmental designer and architectural technologist.
Her background, at the crossroads of mathematics, architectural design, visual representation, and digital technology, feeds a way of working that is both intuitive and structured.
After contributing to commercial, industrial, and residential projects within architecture firms, notably EXA, she founded ZAAR on a conviction: the best projects emerge when idea, technique, and the way they're communicated evolve together.
ZAAR stands for an approach that is attentive, precise, and open to new ways of designing.
A dual training, between logic and sensibility.
Trained at UQAM's School of Design after an initial path in mathematics, Zahra developed early on a design approach that pairs analytical rigor with spatial sensibility.
That interest in logic carries into an active practice of code and digital tools, which she folds into her design, representation, and project-management processes: from 3D modeling to building this very site.
